i generally like amber ales enough. it's hard for one to knock your socks off, but hard to mess up too. usually they're somewhere around the middle. but this one just wasn't too pleasant. nothing offensive, but the muddled malts (dusty/dirty) and the low level bitterness just didn't seem to mesh.
