Shallow Grave Porter is dark as night, perfect for a cool evening out in the woods. This a big, dark ale with a complex and rich chocolate and caramel malt character followed by a touch of warmth and light malt sweetness, leaving you ready for more after each shovelful. You will love this so much you won’t have time to dig a six-footer, so make it a Shallow Grave. We’re sure you’ll dig it.

650 ml bottle, Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 7.0%. Black colour, moderate tan head. Pleasant roasty aroma, notes of chocolate and mild coffee. Medium sweet and smooth flavour, again with moderate roasty notes of coffee and chocolate, hints of caramel, vanilla and sweet liquorice. Very nice to drink.

A dark brown-black in color with a big frothy textured tan head rising above. There's decent hang time on the head. Light dusting of film and a moderately thin ringlet are left. A roasty-chocolate nose. More sweetness of the chocolate and fruit are in the tasting. Light bodied, but a nice representative of the style.

Starts out with a nice robust aroma of malted chocolate, dark fruit, caramel. Flavor is nice if a little muddled. More sweet, less roast than I'd like. But that said it was still Pretty nice.
