A hop-forward pale ale with reserved but perceivable bitterness. A North American Pale Ale is driven by a deep golden hue and pleasant tropical notes. It attains well-rounded bitterness, a soft stone fruit and assertive mango character. Naming note: Perth County Conspiracy was a cult-classic rock band based in our very own county in the 1970s.

Tall can gifted by my good friend Nic. Pours a big frothy off-white head, good retention, has a pale golden orangey appearance. Thick soapy lacing. Moderate carbonation. Aromas of herbs, grass and pine. Also some light citrus and floral notes. Flavours are mostly citrus and grassy, some pine and subtle yeasty notes. Smooth and creamy mouthfeel.

Can that pours a clean-enough golden-amber colour with an off-white frothy cap, decent stay and some thick foamy lacing. Citrusy hop aromas over mild cereal malts with some yeast. The taste has lots of the cereal grain base with light hops, but really - no bitterness in the finish. Just a little dryness. A different kind of APA, and not a bad beer. Gets better as it goes.
