03.27.05 750ml bottle. Pretty beer, glowing, lightly hazed yellow-gold with thick white froth. The liquid has a thicker, softer look to it; it seems to coat the sides of the glass. Body is not surprisingly quite full, perhaps slightly unctuous, but still lithe and full of wonderful effervescence. Oh wow, this is even better than the tap sample I tried at the brewery. Aromas are subtle and complex, tip-top. Slightly toasted grain like breakfast cereal, light fruitiness, some herbal notes - it’s not unlike sniffing on a tropical trail-mix. Flavors are equally complex, sweet-tart, some sourness, some barn, some sweat; but it’s fresh, like a ripe, wet barn or field of grains and grass. Grapey, cheesey sourness throughout. Yeast never gets obtrusive but So tasty and the late bitterness is very pleasing. The saaz earthiness is evident and wonderfully unusual in a saison. Just great, I wish I had a dozen more bottles.

Bottle shared with Capflu, DumDum and Lubière : Poured a dirty yellow color ale with a huge foamy head with excellent retention. Aroma of funky yeast, strange spices probably including coriander. Taste is again a mix between the yeast and spices with well-balanced hops at the end. That is my second Heavyweight and I’m starting to be a big fan of them.

Transparent orange with a large scattering white head. Large iron aroma, bloodlike. Maybe some fruit punch in it to, lots of red fruits in the punch. Stewing grass also present. Tastes alot like chilled carbonated lemon flavored thera flu, not too sour though.

Pours with a slightly cloudy, golden body topped by a thick head with a good amount of lacing. It’s slightly sweet yet slightly sour and bitter with a grassy note and a slight vinious note. Light bodied, crisp and slightly dry.

A very odd aroma with some light citrus, hay, vinegar, and a flinstone vitamin bottle. A dark orange appearance. A very well balanced flavor and so much so it was hard to pick it apart. Some lemon and white grapes could be detected. A pretty good one.

750 ml bottle purchased at the brewery. Hazy golden in color with a nice big fluffy white head. Fruity aroma. Malty and fruity flavor with some tartness. Hoppy too. Interesting. Nice beer. Enjoyable.

Poured a hazy golden color with a large, white head that left light lacing on the glass. Aroma of yeast, citrus fruits, barnyard, and hops. Bready, lightly tart lemon and other citrus tastes, with a dry, hoppy, bitter finish.
