Enjoying this one at the Empire State building. Golden colour with a warm cap. Grainy scent with nice fresh hops. Refreshing, lightly dry mouthfeel. Nice grapefruit notes with malt flavours. Pretty good, better than average IPA.

Draft at HB burger: Poured a slightly hazy beige color ale with a medium foamy head with good retention. Aroma of medium bitter hops with light dry malt notes. Taste is also dominated by dry malt with a medium bitter finish with some subtle floral notes. Body is about average with good carbonation. Well done though lacking some character to somehow stand out.

$7 bucks for a pint. Fricken ridiculous. And for the quality of this beer, nothing more then average. Crystal clear copper colour. Two finger sized white head. Some firm hops on the nose, but taste was moderately hoppy at best. Yes it's New York, but i can't move beyond that insane price for a beer. IPA was not that hoppy. Kind of weak actually.

lighter but flavorful, coming in only at 6%. citrusy bittering hops and a good balalnce make this an enjoyable brew. far from the best, but again, way better than I'd expect from the average.

On draft at the Radio City location. Full amber to copper color, ok initial head and lacing, nothing standing out against its peers of this style, though. The aroma was piney citrus caramel. Flavor was caramel with full strong hops backing it up, overcoming it: pine and citrus elements there, but also some grass and a finish that was highly bitter (more bittering hops than the flavor/aroma hops?). Mouthfeel was moderate to full. Not my liking for an IPA, wanted more flavor.

One of 8 ea 5 oz samples in the $12.95 "Seasonal Voyage" sampler. Deep golden color. Full malt aroma with aggressive hops. The grapefruit smell translates to a piney taste in the flavor profile. Nice, long finish, very dry and bitter, similar to an IPA.

right... no... on tap at union square. somehow, this was on tap and yet had a horribly skunked aroma AND flavor. wtf? if there were any hops present, they werent in the taste. tasted more nutty and almost like it had german components.. tasted more like a pale... idk... i think we got some bad taps.

So after meeting the brewer, I’m kind in my rating. The beer has a decent floral hop taste with a crisp, sweet beautiful taste. IMHO, the best beer that Tim makes. Just a tad too malty, but I come to find that based upon my West Coast bias. Oh well.

the beer was very hoppy as it should be, but it just did't have the IPA flavor I was looking for.
