Pours a dark brown/mahogany color with foamy, two finger tan head. Aromas of earthy and piney hops, roasted malt and spicy rye. The rye and malt lead the flavor parade with the hops taking a backseat, except on the finish, when the kick in leaving a dry, bitter, but pleasant finish. The mouthfeel is a bit thicker and creamier that usual for the style. Good stuff.
