Pours a deep cola brown .. light foam, very light lacing .. . quite a bit of bubbles, probably the most effervescent smoked brew I've had .. . smoke, burnt wood, molasses, burnt molasses, and light smoked meat .. . quite a nice smoked beer, the mouth throws it off a bit but i am enjoying it! .. . .
At the end of the video I ask her, "Are you thinking this job isn't for you?"
She looks up at me and bursts into tears saying,
"I can't do it anymore!!" -

Bottled. Brown colour, small beige foamy head. Aroma is wood, smoke, some mild toasted malts as well as some caramel. Flavour is caramel, smoke, some mild toffee as well as mild toasted notes. Quite balanced, but it feels like it's lacking something to be really top notch.

500 ml bottle, courtesy of Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. Batch #273, ABV is 8%. Very dark brown colour, big and lasting tan head. Nice aroma of smoked malts, bonfires, tar, smoked and cured meat , but also some fruity notes. The flavour is very smoky and ashy, quite dry. Meaty finish.

Batch 273 / bottled 12 05 2010, EBC 48. 500 ml capped bottle. Poured an opaque dark brown, close to black coloured ale with a one finger tan creamy head thad had a good retention and tons of micro bubbles. Soft carbonation. Good lacing. The aroma is rich, heavy roasted malts, dark chocolate, pronounced notes of smoke, aromatic piney hops. The flavour is heavy roasted malts, burned coffee beans, a lot of smoke, even smoked ham, flowery, violet, fruity, ripe dark raisins and an amazing soft flowery and aromatic hoppy bitterness. The mouthfeel is creamy at first surprising quite thin but in a second time a noticeable warming effect is emerging and brings pinky cheeks. The afertaste is aromatic piney hops. This medium to full bodied ale has a lingering smokey and piney hoppy finish. A very nice Smoked ale with a lot of faces, complex and very interesting. I am won by its tasting well mixed qualities.
