Nice and soft beer. When you pour it into a glass it has a zillion bubbles that give it a cloudy look. The body of the beer quickly goes dark with a nice creamy head forming. The nitrogen gives very soft appearance, almost to the point of looking as if there is no carbonation. Lightly bitter taste. Definiately, the lightest bitter of any stout I’ve had.

440ml can into pint glass. Nitrogen widget. Caramel/cocoa nose. Opaque black with tan cream head. Taste is mildly bitter, aftertaste is dark chocolate then tin. Nice.

On Tap. Black color with classic creamy off white head and first rate lacing. The head never dissipates. Light aroma of roasted malts. Nice coffee, black patent and burnt chocolate malt flavor. There’s also some lighter grain malts in there too. Good malt backbone with silky creamy mouth feel. Lingering roasted and grain malt finish.

On tap at the Trivia Pub in Moon Township. Tap is very foamy with lots of head. Took three pours to finally get a glass. Pours almost black in the guinness glass. I used to think this was the dark beer of dark beers. However, this one seemed a bit watery to me since I’ve been tasting many other kinds of beers lately. Very flat carbonation, as expected. Has a medium astringent finish that lingers. Medicino blackhawk has more body than this.

Can (nitro). Pours black with a nice creamy beige head. Aroma of roasted malt and caramel. Sweet and watery with a hint of bitterness in the finish. Used to be a favourite, but now it’s mostly when the only alternatives is tasteless pale lagers.

Can at home, black beer, small head. Aroma is light, some roasted malts. Taste is the same, quite light somewhat watery, decent enough but somewhat lacking.

On Tap at Gravity bar (at Guinness in Dublin) Wow, this is so much better here then in the states. There is something to be said about "fresh" beer. Dark in color with a nice white head and plenty of lace on the inside of the glass. Chocolate and Coffee flavor aroma rise out of the glass with the taste that matched the aroma. Nice finish in the back of the mouth.

I dont know? Always liked it.Gots a soft spot fer it.Love that action after the pour.Hell, i could watch that all night!Very cool! Not much aroma to speak of, little malty, maybe its the nitro? Love that head! Beats the hell out of the milk commercial as far as the mustache goes.Slick on the tongue, burnt malt flavors. You take a big gulp and let it sit in your mouth.Feels gooood.Love the blackness of it also.Good session brew!

Nota Lita nose... Deep brown body, Carmel colored head nitro charged foamy lace. Thin for a stout. Gonna let warm before rating flavor but strikes me is not as good as a draft. Little charcoal from the dark malts, some roasted coffee almost playing with sweet in the middle a little milk lactose. It's Guinness.
