Best American interpretation of Octoberfest I have had. Light amber-golden in color (like Hofbrauhaus') with a sweet finish and lighter body that Paulaner. Low head retention. Selection of grains tastes very true to style.

Clear amber, small lacing foam ring remaining. Kind of smokey aroma and nice small bitter taste, some floral tones. Nice beer, purchased at brewery. (Cleveland 201510)

poured in tea like brownish amber color with a nice foamy head. a wonderful spicy aroma rises from the glass. it has a great malty taste with just a slight sweet caramel that sneeks in. Nicely carbonated. This is a good Octoberfest beer. Looking forward to next years batch.

Smells musty. Pours orange and frothy. Mouthfeel is thin. A little grain. Maybe a little marzen. Definitely some corn. Bad after taste. That's it.

another well above average example of the style. toasted rich maltiness abounds. not quite as rich or smooth as the Bells but very nice. i could drink this all day.

Very very good. Not "THE" best one out there but damn near. Aroma is of freshly kneaded dough. Slight metallic flavor that diminishes fairly quickly. Will have again.

I was not impressed with this Oktoberfest. Looks good, but the flavor and aroma were both on the weak end and very malty. I was really looking forward to this beer as it had only one sub-par review, but now it has two. I'm just not digging it.

Crystal-clear bright amber with a thin off-white head with some persistence. Light but robust malty nose of toasted caramel. Mouthfeel is smooth; light but yet round and satisfying. Flavors are well-blended, combining semi-sweet toasted malt with a touch of nuts, honey and a fruity bitterness that finishes crisp. This is one satisfying Märzen, and the clear winner of tonight's O'fest flight. MUSIC: 'Ein Prosit' by Die G'Scherten Münchner; "Ein Prosit, ein Prosit, Der Gemütlichkeit" ("A toast, A toast, To happiness")

I would have to say this is one of the nicer marzens i've had in a while. Pours a sort of hazey dark copper colour with a large off white head. Aroma is pleasent, with rich dark fruits, nuts and vanilla. Taste is rich as well, creamy, nutty- soft spice and toast.

Another great beer from Great Lakes. Thanks to my bro-in-law for bringing this 6 down with him from Ohio. Pours a nice clear amber with a medium head leaving some lacing. Good carbonation. Aromas of sweet slightly toasted malt with a very noticeable hops presence. Taste is robust with a strong malt backbone balance with a good bitter of hops. Very good Oktoberfest.
