Clear yellow gold with a nice bright white head. Good lacing. Lightly hoppy nose, slight straw malt. The flavor is dry straw and a nice peppery hop bite in the end. It’s not hoppy, but there’s enough hops to keep it from blandness.

One of the very best dortmunder's I have experienced, which is saying a lot because I don't particularly enjoy these types of beers. I didn't pour this one, so I can't speak of its color, however, the aroma was pure and clean, as was the finish. The taste was very smooth, flowed like honey, although not as sweet as honey. So that really isn't an apt comparison.

Light gold color. Small to medium sized very foamy head. Aroma is bready and citrusy. A medium to light bodied Dort/Helles. Malts are bready, fruity and sweet. Mild hops. Tastes like a slightly toned down version of the Dortmunder Gold. Still has a nice malt/hop profile, just a little less of both. Mild flavored beer, a huge step up from Bud. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is clean and crisp. Aftertaste is slightly sweet.

This is easily the least impressive Great Lakes brew that I have tried. Pours a very pale opaque color with a small head. Very light smells of corn and malt. The taste is slight bubblegum and malt. The finish is definitely dirt. Not a smooth beer in any way. A dissapointing beer from a good brewer.

Another very good beer from the Great Lakes Brewey, worth every drop. It's a litter beer and it has the classic hoppy flavor and solid finish of the others.

Medium gold color with a decent head and lacing, and a mild bready spicy aroma. Light bodied and smooth, malty, bisquity with a citrusy note and clean finish with some bitterness. Good brew, and to my taste seems to be a lighter but still quite flavorful version of their outstanding Dortmunder Gold.
