Not really a brew I'll be coming back to. Aroma was below average with not enjoyable odors. Appearance was the expected amber cloudy. Taste had a smooth start with a citric-like finish. Of the seasonals of this style, not one of the better ones.

Pours a clear, luscious amber with a thin and not persistent white head. Malty aroma is somewhat fruity, mainly banana with a touch of lemon. Flavor is richly malty and fruity with some strong eskers; banana flavor dominates, and it is slightly sweet and rather refreshing. Texture is smooth, lively and edgy, leaving a fruity finish.

Tried this at MacGregor's in Canandaigua, NY It came to the table a cloudy gold with visable carbonation. The aroma was of herbs and spice. At fist I thought this was a wit because I thought the spice was coriander. after reading the description I decided it was most likely lavender. Not a bad tasting unique beer.

Thanks to my bro-in-law for picking this GL offering up for me. A nice yellow-amber pour with a decent head and some lacing. Interesting aromas - like a weak, sweet V8 juice with yeast and herbs. Taste is initially sweet then the herb concoction kicks in - grassy, earthy, almost musty. The second one was better than the first.

Sampled this new GL offering numerous times, it's not a bad attempt although it just seems as if there's an odd arrangement of ingredients. Pours bright yellow-orange with a nice frothy head and heavy lacing. Honey and grass aromas with an assortment of spring herbs and spices. Smells fruity with a good yeast quality. Sticky medium body that's overly sweet. There is a lingering, awkward aftertaste reminiscent of celery. Flavor is yeasty and earthy with fragrant herbs and flowers. Sweet honey and wheat. There's that damn celery again, really becomes distracting. I think the medley of herbs and plants they use just doesn't quite meld the way it should. Too busy and off putting. The basic saison qualities are in there, but this beer doesn't quite work.

Pours a cloudy pale gold with a modest white head, light lacing. Aroma is lightly citrus and floral. Flavor is light, but surprisingly busy; elements of flowers, banana, bitter herbs, citrus tang, spice, and malt sweetness. Never before have I had a beer that was so light and refreshing, yet so complex it's difficult to describe. Mouthfeel is smooth and creamy, much fuller than the color would suggest. After my first bottle from the sixer, last night, I wasn't sure I liked it. Now, at the end of the last bottle, I find like it more with every sip; just wish I could figure out why!

Lightly cloudy deep gold with a thin bubbly white head. An unusual but intriguing spicy, grassy aroma. Clean, smooth but crisp palate. A mottled blend of tastes that manage to pull together; fresh hay, bitter herbs, and a light grainy sweetness. A bold, interesting version of the style. A touch over the top and somewhat confused at first, but it all works out in the end. By the bottom of the glass I was hooked on the flavor.

It smells like asparagas on the nose, or some veggies. Appearance is something I've never seen, very light yellow and cloudy. Mouthfeel is vividly mild, smooth and chill. Now the flavor, whoa bucky! This is quite the extravagant flavor mix! I taste some ginger at the end, and a bunch of herbs and funny things I never tasted in a beer before in the beginning, it'll smack you from a sideways angle that'll make you think twice or thrice about the wonders of the earth. I rate this a little high, even though it's weird, its a good weird. It tastes like one of them sacred herbal healing beers I've heard about.

Interesting brew. Picked up a six a couple days ago. That bright hazey golden colour with definate cloudy junk floating around. Noticeable spice from the saison mid palate with a tiny bit of tartness (lemon perhaps?) Noticeable chamomile on the nose, but not so much in flavour. A real creamy mouthfeel with an abundance of crazy nuances that are hard to decipher.
