A very dark ruby red tinted beer with powerful chocolate malt aromas and a hint of vanilla. Very smooth, very rich dry malt flavours with a subtle hoppiness. A classic winter porter.

Bottled@The 1st Vaasa CS/ES beer session (thanks JP). Very deep ruby red colour, close to black, with a small beige head. Aroma is roasted malts, some coffee, mild chocolate as well as some slight nuttyness. Flavour is quite much the same with also some smoked wet wood and mild vanillaish notes. Semi-bitter finish.

Pours out ina very dark brown color with a small disappearing beige foam. Rich aroma of cocoa, mocha and milky chocolate. medium-bodied with notes of cocoa, crackers and prunes, hints of salt and sweet coffee. medium-bitter finish of dark chocolate, roasted malts and crackers.

500 ml bottle, courtesy of Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 5.3%. Black colour, moderate to low greyish brown head. Nice aroma, some roastiness, coffee and chocolate, hints of tobacco and dark fruits. The flavour is moderately roasty, coffee and chocolate again, with a slight fruitiness. Smooth and pleasant to drink.
