Clear darker yellow with hughe white frosty foam head. Bit sparkling. Takes a second sip in order to really appreciate this beer. Low sour aroma, same for taste, bit sour, bit barley. Nice. (Arnhem 201301)

Golden colour, small white head. Aroma is sour fruit, wood and a lot of barnyard. Flavour is sweetish sour fruits along with some wood and earth. More carbonation than in most gueuzes, but still very smooth. Wellbalanced and quite sour thing. I like.

Bottle: Poured a clear orangey/yellow color lambic with a huge pure white foamy head with perfect retention. Aroma of sourness, oak, some funkyness and green apples. Taste has some sweetness to balance the sourness and the oak characteristic. Mix between green apples, light acidity and the funkyness is pretty close to perfection. The fact that this version is supposed to be inferior to the unfiltered version make me crave (the black label) even more.

Dark golden, creamy white head. Acidic and tart aroma of grapefruit and wood. Woody and tart flavour of grapefruit and white grapes. Short grapefruity aftertaste. No nearly as good as the unfiltered version.

Thanks to jcalabre for sharing this hard to find brew with me. On to the beer. Pours a glowing orange liquid that raises a dense whipped cream like head. flavor has oak and leathery aspects with a tart lemon edge. dry and crisp in the finish with a very nice balance between the sweetness and astringency.

Thks to Bov for this one. Sour champagne aroma, notes of barnyard, tart, but finishing swwet, a very nice example of the style

Cork Marking: 0705... Explosive bottle poured a dark golden color with a small white head and left spotty lacing on the glass. Light barnyard, lots of oak, dusty malt aroma. Intensive sourness is balanced nicely by the sweetness. A quality gueuze, need to find more of this!
