My buddy held onto this for a bit too long (got it two months ago and it likely wasn't brand new) so the "cascadian" part has pretty much passed, but what's left is ok. Little coffee on the nose, but ample coffee flavor. That saves the beer from being pretty boring otherwise. The dark malt is ok, but it seems Gilgamesh has a commonality with their beers, regardless of style or age. It's not bad, but I like more of an obvious difference between styles...and not sooo strong of a house flavor. That said, this beer was pleasant enough I'd give it another shot fresh.

Wasn't too impressed by this beer. Had it at Bailey's and it seemed a little light for me. Poured black, little roasted coffee notes. Some cinnamon, unbalanced slightly aggressive hop character in the finish.
