pours a dark honey golden in color with a small white and thickly foamy head, which leaves sedimentary layers of lacing down the glass. The aroma is malty and slightly sweet, a bit of herbal grassiness. The taste is malty grain, very light caramel, less sweet than the aroma, with a bit of tart bitterness on the finish. The mouthfeel is lightly, yet adequately carbonated, with a creamy, smooth finish.

Mine said 5.5% alcohol. And it was a genesee label. It had good carbonation, very nice color, nice foam top.Aromatics came off a litle skunky.Taste was thin and watery, slight acidic after taste.Could easily consume this again on a hot day, a college kids beverage of choice i bet.

Funny this is listed as genny ice but look at the label in the avatar. It's Genessee ice. Mine was labeled as Genesee Ice. Red and white label, but not the label we see here. A big 28 oz clear tumbler of jenny ice. Looks like any other pale American lager. Cost was $1.50 for a glass bottle twist off quart. The kings measure, not liters mind you. Ooh baby, not too common around these parts. Found this at the gas station on my way to Vintage. This is not the kind of beer you’ll find at vintage. Bob was more interested in selling me EKU. There is a quarter inch creamy head on this that won’t go away. Taste is reminiscent of many ice beer but is not too offensive. Typical cheap pale lager flavor which is not too offensive. Much better than most of the beers from Milwaukee’s Melanie. Finish is a bit corny and does not have much more than a little processed feel. Overall, the session was better probably because of the 5.2% alky content. S3L2F2T5O8

This is the one HF Product that is probably best suited for a 40 to be drank on a street corner or in a frat house. Standard "Ice" Beer. Pale color, fleeting head (if poured into a glass), grainy aroma. A hint of malt flavor. Drinks easily and holds carbonation all the way. I would recommend MBI first, but this is a decent substitute.

This is pretty much your everyday ice beer, nothing really stands out. Body was a medium golden color topped off by a medium sized white head that left very little lace. Aroma was sweet with some strong adjuncts showing more than anything else. Mouthfeel was light to medium bodied and very drinkable, which is really the whole point given the style. Flavor really wasn't bad (again given the style) sweet and malty without that sour alcohol taste in the finish that most ice beers tend to have.

Can: Poured a bright golden color lager with a medium bubbly head with limited retention. Aroma of corn and sugar is pretty intense and somewhat gross. Taste has a sweet edge with some bad adjunct that just takes too much space. This one is real bad pale lager with way too much adjunct showing.

Poured from the can a pale yellow with almost no head.It had a stale smell with hints of alcohol. The taste was i guess medicinal with the alcohol being the strongest along with a metalic aftertaste. This is the poorest of the Gennys by far

this beer sucks. better than regular genny, but i'd have to be pretty hard up to drink this again. if given the choice, would rather take schlitz gold or even rainier rather than this. i swear upstate new york cannot make beer. oh well, at least it ain't as bad as the yankee jim line.

Mild sweet malt aroma with slight alcohol. Quite smooth for a 5.9% ABV ice swill macro. Nothing offensive here. Pale golden amber colour with lively carbonation. Not bad head, with some lace. Long sweet aftertaste with mild sourness. No sign of corn in this one. Last ice beer I had must of been like 10-15 years ago... and had a bad recollection of it. This one is not bad at all.
