Sometimes the best of a brewer’s art, like jazz, can be shown by the notes you don’t play. In our case we bring that elegance of simplicity into our new limited edition lager brewed with one select barley and one of the best Northwest hops. By choosing to focus on these two single “notes” we highlight the finely balanced and complex interplay between the malt and hops. LTD 04 is a beautiful pale-golden color and brewed to highlight the elegant simplicity of both the pale malt and Willamette hops.

A bright orange sunshine in color with a big frothy textured, white head rising robustly above. There's good hang time on the head. It settles eventually into a healthy bit of lacing Light nose. But tasting is cereal grains, typical of the style. There's some grassy hops thrown in. Light, effervescent.

Pale Lager. Never would have guessed it. In that case, this beer gets extra points! Came in a 12 pack of some Full Sail brews we picked up at Fred Meyer. Pours a golden orange colour. Nice sized head that's viscous and ever present. Nose is balanced. Malt, fresh hops and herbal notes. Taste is really smooth. Grassy, semi-citrusy, hops are grapefruity and pleasant.

    12oz bottle -

Success!! I think that Bud Platinum should take some notes from these guys on how to make a high gravity lager taste and smell like something other than industrialized degreaser. While this isn't going to set the world on fire, it's dang good. A lightness in both flavor and aroma in nearly every aspect. A spicey, grassy aroma showing obvious signs of decent hop additions. Light citrus and lemongrass in the flavor with just a nod of cereal-like malts. I would have never guess the 7% in this beer, as it's very tame. For roughly $7.00 a 6-pack, tasty and affordable.

Sampled on 7/9/2011. This premium lager pours a light orange gold color from a 12oz bottle. Small to medium sized white foamy head. The aroma is cereal, citrusy, a touch tropical. A medium bodied Premium lager. The malts are cereal and grainy, fruity and sweet. Some orange, some citrus, some grass. The hops are herbal and spicy. Decent carbonation. An easy drinking lager. It is perhaps a touch sweet overall, but is clean and smooth tasting. There is a touch of hop bite at the finish. I like these LTD beers. I kind of wish they would make some of them available year round. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is crisp and clean. Aftertaste is slightly bitter.

grassy hops and a bit of sweetness from the malt greet the nose and taste buds. a little dark for a pale lager, but i don't really know the criteria. this is a pretty decent standard lager...better than most, clean, simple, and refreshing.

Pours a medium gold, medium to low head, with decent sticky lacing .. . not at all smooth, the 7% shows quite a bit but is still easy to drink and better than any malt liquor or mass produced yellow foam drink .. . i like that FS is trying new stuff but shit, you guys could try a wee bit harder, don't ya think!?!
.. You wanna make more money right?? .. Well here's a great money making scheme.. Buy a little league baseball team, and just let them grow into a Major league baseball team.. Money!!
