Germany’s most popular fall beer, this "Oktoberfest-Brau" is brewed in the traditional marzen style. Pleasant toffee-like flavours, medium body and low hopping make this a seasonal lager worthy of celebration. Prosit!

Pours a cloudy orange/amber colour with a brownish head. Aromas of nutmeg, cinnamon, malts. Flavour is of light coffee roast, malted barley, a bit of toffee, some spices. Somewhat bitter aftertaste. Leaves a bit of a tingly mouthfeel. Not too bad.

Quick seasonal at the LCBO in a tall brown bottle. Pours a clean deep amber colour with a big off-white head that stays a while and leaves nice thick wavy lace. Malty nose with a good grain smell that is slightly roasted, slightly caramelized. Hop is also felt with some darker bread. The taste is quite light, with again the cereal malt and not much sweetness from the caramel malt. Slight biscuit lingers in the aftertaste, but overall too mild.

The beer pours a translucent copper colour with a thin rocky off-tan head. The aroma sweet bread, yeast, grains, and floral hops. The mouthfeel was medium bodied with medium carbonation. The flavour is sweet malt, some graininess, and weak bitter finish. -

Got 4 bottles of this as an Oktoberfest present from my Halifax Beerpal ...Thanks Kev! Pours a Deep amber lager in the HB Stein, Moderate white cap, fair retention and lacing. Aroma is of Municj amber malts - toasty but with lightly sweet undertones, hops offer a woodsy aroma. Malt forward profile, alternate between toasty and sweet...hops insufficient to compliment... this brew needs Spalters or Tettnangers, the brewers gold are too understated.. Clean malty finish. Nice firm amber quaffing lager but not really a close approximation of a Bavarian fest marzen.
