Every wheat beer is brewed with both wheat malt and barley malt. Most German wheat beers are brewed with approximately 55% wheat malt and 45% barley malt. For our Fürstenberg Hefeweizen we use 70% wheat malt and 30% roasted barley malt.

    Bottle: Poured a dark brownish color dunkel with a big bubbly head with better then average retention. Aroma of cloves and banana is very weak with some sweet malt also noticeable. Taste of banana and cloves are again too subtle for the style IMO with a very light body. I guess this one is average at best but clearly not something I would seek again.

    Sampled from their brown bottle, at L'Autre Oeil in Aylmer, Quebec. Best before date on label is 09/2005. Pours a deep amber with a beautiful cream-foam head. The retention is good, so is the lace. Aromas of spices, mild though, with hints of cream soda. The taste starts with spices and finishes on a slight bitter note. The aftertaste is of apples. The mouthfeel is light and creamy. Overall, was excepting a heavier brew, but was quite refreshing... especially with the mexican nachos I had.

    hazy dark brown colour, nice creamy head, corn and banana aroma, sweet and medium-bodied, high carbonation, lingering sweetness in a long banana finish - very typical

    worstenberg as it is known here makes some royal missitbrau. The dunkle weissen is toiet water brwon, and equal in the nose. We have a fantastic local gasthaus here but they serve Worstenberg, so regardless of the food , we mis it. The dunkle is the best of the bunch but in hell, they serve 3 biers- Bud, budlight and if you want an import-Worstenberg. Repent now, this is sorry bier and no where near the best in the area.

    Bottle. Clear copper coloured with thin white head. Yeast and banana in the aroma. Flavour is bubblegum and malt. Light mouthfeel. OK.
