https://funkybuddhabrewery.com/our-beers/little-buddha-small-batch/maple-bacon-coffee-porter Evoking a complete diner-style breakfast in a glass, Maple Bacon Coffee Porter is a complex beer with a multitude of flavors at play. It pours an opaque ebony brew with a frothy tan head. Aromas of sticky maple syrup, coffee, and cream creep forth from the glass. The mouth feel is luxuriously creamy, with layers of sweet malt, toffee, and roast giving way to waves of smoke, coffee, and salted chocolate. It finishes sticky, rich, and sweet, with the flavor of maple syrup lingering pleasantly on the tongue. Winner of the World Beer CupSM 2016 Gold Medal in the Specialty Beer Category.

Pours opaque coffee sable with a thin head, s was a short pour. Aroma features maple syrup and dusty hops notes. Flavor offers maple syrup, roast malt, woody hop, and subtle - must be baconish character. Firm body has animated fizz. Beer: It’s not just for breakfast anymore.

I've been wanting to try this for a few years now, or since it was released. Only way to get was to drive down south for a once per year festival, etc. This year they finally distributed around FL for release at designated venues. Picked up a growler @ Total Wine & More in Orlando. Found it to be way on the sweeter side. Maple and vanilla seem to overwhelm the bacon flavors. Could be smokier, or just not as heavy on the sweets for a better, more bitter balance. Dark black appearance with a flatter/less carbonated feel. Glad I got to sample, just most likely a pass for the price in the future.

I waited a long time for this much heralded limited release.  And it was well worth the wait.  An ebony colored beer with a small soapy textured, brown head rising briefly above.  It settles into a thin ringlet.  The coffee is dominate in the nose.  In tasting it is balanced with notes of maple in a roasted foundation.  The bacon is not noted at all.  Smooth body.  Very easy to drink.
