At the request of you hopheads, we produced this I.P.A. with a deep golden color, plenty of hop bitterness balanced by malt sweetness. Because of the extensive dry hopping, there's a floral and citrus hop finish. It's then lightly filtered to maintain the appropriate body and flavor. The beer features a combination of American, English and German malts to balance the large amount of hops. The HopFish also uses three hop varieties at five different times and has been dry-hopped for two weeks with 22lbs of Nugget whole leaf hops.

Pours a nice clear amber with a thick and fluffy cream-white head. Aroma is not too strong, but invitingly hoppy. Flavor is hoppy and fruity, the latter a little more citrus than apple/pear. Smooth texture leaves a light fizz and a somewhat hoppy finish. OK as IPAs go, but a worthy catch.

RJA was pretty spot on with this one. Not hoppy enough, too dark for an ipa, and a little too much sweet malty aroma, flavor and body for an ipa. below average beer - no need to revisit.

Sampled on 7/13/2011. This India Pale Ale pours a medium orange gold color from a 12oz bottle. Small to medium sized white foamy head, with decent lacing and nice retention. The aroma is fruity and sweet, citrusy and piney. A medium bodied India Pale Ale. The malts are fruity and sweet, with some orange and orange peel. The hops are piney and citrusy. Decent carbonation. Crisp and clean. It not as hoppy as a west coast IPA, but it is definitely more hoppy than a British IPA. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and crisp. Aftertaste is slightly bitter with a touch of citrus.

A copper colored beer with a small frothy textured, white head rising above. It settles fairly quickly with light dusting of film on the sides of the glass and thin ringlet atop the body. Light bodied. The nose is faint notes of citric hops. The tasting is nearly as laid back. More malt sweetness than hops you’d expect in this style. But it is drinkable nonetheless.

A bland and timid entry for an IPA, but then again, nothing good can come out of Cherry Hill, NJ. Pours a characteristic copper color, with a head that instantaneaously disappears. Not nearly the hop presence that I was expecting. Maybe the West Coast has ruined me.

Wow. Poured alight orange with a thin head. The thing that immediately drew my attention was the aroma. Almost chocolate like. The taste followed suit. Way more roasted malt flavor than expected. Still with a hop aftertaste. Very well balanced. I was pleasantly suprised and would highly recommend trying it.

Poured an amber orange with nice, but quickly dissipating head, little lacing. A lager-like aroma with citrus notes and soap. The flavor profile was ok, some sweet malts and citrus and floral hops, with an interesting tart pink grapefruit like finish.. Oh, and it tasted like soap, too.

Pours with an orange-amber body topped by a medium thick head wtih a good amount of lacing. It’s slightly sweet and malty with a slight apricot note and a toufh of citrus. Medium bodied and smooth.

I had Flying Fish HopFish India Pale Ale on tap straight from the Flying Fish Brewery and it was excellent. It poured a slightly orange colored body with a decent off white head. The taste was of strong hops, a little earthy, with a slightly bitter finish. Quite good!

Cloudy copper with hints of red color, small head, but left nice lacing for the duration of the beer. Had a citrus sweet smell. Strong hoppy citrus taste, but well balanced with malts. Over all not bad at all.
