Pours a light brown color. Smell is malty, caramel. Taste is malts up front, some caramel ,hops kicking in at the finish, well balanced. Overall a good quality beer.

Found this to be something in between an ESB and an Amber. Lacking the "bitter" in the ESB...so basically mild on the hops. Clean mouthfeel with fresh hop finish, but the balance is leaning towards the malts (mainly caramel). Light to medium brown-orangish appearance. Making my rounds of sampling Flying Fish....so I'd say this is about average. So far, their Abbey Dubbel is the one that I return to. May get this again, but wouldn't really miss it if I didn't.

a decent (slightly better than average) esb. clean, well balanced with some citrus notes and a discernable hop bitterness atop a very slight malt fruitiness. a nice enough session ale.

A muddy amber colored beer. A small frothy textured off white head rises briefly above. Not much hang time on this one. And no lacing. A sweet caramel malt and subtle grassy hop nose on this one. The tasting pretty much follows suit. A light to light medium body with a tingling on the tongue and creamy feel. Overall drinkable.

This was a good beer. Very smooth going down with a slight hoppiness in the aftertaste. I could definitely drink a couple more of these, but it isn't the best of the ESBs either. Definitely worth a shot.

01.29.05 12oz bottle. Amber-brown pour; large, fading head. Looks like it should, I think. Aromas are biscuity, light grassiness, fresh bread; flavors incorporate these plus a big dose of caramel. Decent beer that doesn’t get boring, yet not too thrilling either.

I had Flying Fish ESB at the Flying Fish Brewery. It poured a dark golden color with a small white head. The taste was smooth with citrus notes. Hops were a little light, but overall not bad.

Poured a clear copper color with a nice, large white head that lasted a while. Very nice malty aroma. Nice citrusy taste to it. Nice bitter aftertaste. Pretty good beer.

Medium amber color. Medium head. Aroma is malty and biscuity with a touch of cinnamon. A medium bodied ESB. Malts are sweet and nutty. Hops are sort of mild for an ESB, there is still some bitterness going on but its kind of subdued. Somewhat sweet. Smooth taste. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly sweet.

Poured nice golden color with little head and little lacing. Had nice full taste with a sweet citrusy taste with a nice balanced bitter hop finish. I was surprised, this was pretty good.
