From kinger - more oHIo goodness... Nice clear light ruby amber pour, fluffy white head, nice lacing throughout. Great balanced nose of sweet biscuit and malts and English-type earthy hops. Flavors of light biscuit, caramel malts, earthy hops bitter, nice small bitter linger. Very good for this style - well done! Thanks Cory for another oHIo winner.

Mildly hoppy, rich caramel brew with a nice bitter finish. You don't see many domestic brewers making classic English esb and this is a good one. Nice and clean and easy going. Could drink several of these, good pick by the King of oHIo.

Sturdy Bitter with a balanced hop bite. Deep amber copper color with a nice filmy white head and ample lacing. Big bread and dinner roll thing going on with a generous supply of grassy, floral hops of the Noble persuasion. Caramel/toffee with a hint of roast. Lingering bitterness after a medium malt body. Welcome back Crooked River...I've missed you!

12.21.04 12oz bottle thanks to bkelley68. Ooh, I’ve been pining for this one for a while. Lightly clouded pretty amber color, just like in the picture, with fluffy tan head. Grassy spiced hop aromas on top of white toast. Flavors are juicy and hoppy and so so quaffable. Some toffee hints, more toast, floral, acidic, very nice. Spicey with peppery qualities and light smokiness throughout. Thanks Brian!

This beer greatly surprised me. Great colour, great nose, very good taste. The best example of an ESB made in the states that I have found. I bought it out of curiosity and ended up buying a case. I was pleasantly surprised. I would recommend it to anyone who likes, or wants to try an ESB.

Orange gold color. Medium sized white foamy head. Aroma is malty, floral and spicy. A medium bodied bitter/ESB. Malts are orangish and sweet. Hops are floral and citrusy. Nicely balanced bitter. Very easy drinking. Very smooth taste. Nice beer. This would make a great session beer, although it is a little high in alcohol at 5.9% for a session beer. But you need to live dangerously once in a while. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is clean and dry. Finish is slightly sweet.

This beer has a rich amber color. Poured up with a frothy head that faded fast. The aroma was sweet. The mouthfeel was smooth, almost creamy and finishes crisp & refreshing. This is solid brew as are the others that I've had from Crooked River. I would definetly reccomend it. A good session beer.
