Our latest "Catch and Release" seasonal is our version of an ESBbbbbbbbb! This naughty fall brew was built for speed and comfort, this baby will slap you silly as soon as you hit the throttle. It features a medium body, roasted malt flavor and tingly bitterness.

A deep amber colored beer with big frothy textured light tan head rising above. There's good hang time on that head. Settles into a thickly impressive lacing. Nice citric hoppiness in the nose. More hoppiness blended well with sweet breadiness in the tasting. Light-medium, effervescent goodness.

Love a good motorboat. Bbbbbbpppppt! Medium bodied brew with two finger sized head. Beautiful caramel complexion. Taste is incredibly flavorful and multi-dimensional for an ESB. Different then most I've had. Fresh hops, toffee and black cherry on the palate. Aroma has a slight spice, bready malt and a hint of booze.

Floral hop aroma with a two finger head and decent lacing. Color a mixture of ruby and brown, with a medium-bodied mouthfeel. Complex flavor, with an intial bitter hop flavor and slight malt aftertaste. Overall, an interesting beer that I would have again.

Pours a nearly clear amber with a medium head and some lacing. Aromas of sweet malts, a noticeable fruitiness and a good dose of hops. Taste is smooth, fruity, malty and finishes with a nice hops bitterness. Love this beer.

This beer is great. When it pours it looks like a darker amber beer and it has a nice head but it does dissipate quickly. The aroma of this beer is a nice malty aroma but when I started to drink this beer I was in for a complete surprise. This beer had a great hoppy flavor and it shocked me coming from the smell and appearance in that it finished like a pale ale. THis is a great beer that I hope becomes a year round beer. I have yet to be disappointed by Sweetwater.

Bottle courtesy of daknole. Pours copper with a nice white head. Smells of caramel and sweet malt. Tastes of pepper, caramel, spice, some earthy compliments on the finish.

Aroma is strong and malty with a firm hoppy undertone and a decided hint of molasses. Color is a beautiful, clear, appetizing copper with an off-white and fairly persistent head. Mouth-filling flavor is fairly but not fiercely bitter, and has just a whisper of sweetness as well as a nutty undertone. Texture is exceptionally smooth so it goes down very nicely.

An amber apperance with a beige head. The aroma really doesnt jump out at you and contains some caramel and a hint of citrus. The flavor is somewhat sour but most malty with some caramel, citrus flavors such as lemons and oranges. Overall this was a pretty good beer.

Had on draft at Taco Mac in Atlanta. Yet another big brew from Sweetwater; I always look forward to them all! Aroma on this brew is full of sweet malt and some prunes with some raisins coming through as well with some faint fuggle hops perhaps as well as some light alcohol. Appearance is a ruby red in color when held to the light with some haziness and a full head on top that is light-tan in color and dissipates to a creamy lacing that adheres to the glass nicely. Mouthfeel is medium-bodied with some sweet malty complexity with some balances of hoppy bitter with a palate that is creamy and thick and well-rounded. Flavor is clean and crisp with a big malt backbone with some sweetness and some raisins as well as prunes with an aftertaste that is pleasantly hopped and a finish that is smooth with not much alcohol coming through. Overall, a very nice and big ESB here for sure and seems more of an American Strong Ale and not nearly as good as the original Fuller's; recommended!! Nice job Sweetwater yet again.
