More brown than red in color - looks thin; head is also on the slight side of the scale. Hopiness is present at the open and the pour, but pretty light after that - malt nose is prevalent throughout and has a bit of a sour taint to it. Flavor is typical for a red but a bit less rounded in the malt and a bit more harsh in the hop that I expected. Finish is a harsh bitterness, (medicinal or aspirin-like) and not the most pleasant. I'd give it a C-minus at best which is disappointing since Flossmoor's other brews (especially the Pullman Brown) are very good.
