Pours a clear golden color with minimal head. I would normally expect the unfiltered look for this style, but this one looks rather pristine. The aroma is straight banana with some what malt to back it up. No hop presence to speak of. The taste is well balanced with lots of fruity banana flavors that are kept in check by dry wheat malt notes. The mouthfeel is light and moderately carbonated.

A murky orange colored beer with a big foamy textured, white head rising above. There's excellent hang time on that head. It settles into a decent lacing. A light nose of bready malt and lighter grassy hops. That same profile in the tasting with a light touch of banana. Very easy to drink this crisp, effervescent drink.

Neat little flip top. Bottle dated 1/15/13. Pours a nice clear yeellow/amber with a tiny head that takes its time. Couple lines of bubbles coming up from the bottom of the glass. Aroma is of fruits and light cloves. Taste is very sweet and almost reminds me of a very light trappiste beer. Sticky and dry at the end. Actually a good light wheat beer.

Pours an opaque gold color with a nice, large cap of white foam. Nose is a bit more bready and earthy with a more subdued clove presence than many other German hefes. Maintains a healthy amount of wheat tang and banana.Taste follows suit with the bananas coming through and more of a focus on a rounded malty flavor. Bready and earthy with a dull hop bite on the finish. Carbonation is nice and soft and the mouthfeel is decently full. Not as bright and zippy as say, a Franziskaner or Weihenstephaner, but not a bad little brew.

Bottled. Slightly hazy yellowish golden colour with huge white foamy head, which also leaves a nice lace. Aroma is wheat, honey, some banana, mild caramel notes as well as some quite sweet notesd. Flavour is wheat, some yeast, caramel malts, mild herbal notes and some slight citrus fruits too.

Swing top bottle, Knightly Spirits. Poured a hazy but not cloudy or sediment-laden amber color, nice large head, solid retention and lacing. The aroma was caramel, some bread, some grass, not much ester-phenolic character. The flavor was caramel, light bananas, bready notes, some hay, and an aftertaste that was kinda metallic-cherry-like, much like the aftertaste cherries leave behind, reminded me of the San Miguel aftertaste. The latter was certainly odd relative to the style, but not a bad thing if you're flexible enough when grabbing one of these. The mouthfeel was moderate, not hearty and filling enough for a hefe, but decent.

330 ml fliptop bottle, bought in Germany. Hefeweissbiers have had quite a renaissance in Germany, so why not one from the Bundesrepublik’s northernmost commercial brewery too? Hazy golden colour, large white head. Lovely strong aroma of cloves and banana, some aromatic hops too. Flavour like an average hefe with a little more hops. Nice.
