Fire Island Beer Company Lighthouse Ale is a delicious golden to amber American style ale that is the product of four types of malts and three varieties of domestic hops. It is brewed to have a soft carbonation and light caramel finish that make it easy to drink, yet it has the toasty round body of a sturdy American ale to give it real substance. Truly easygoing with a lot of character. Or, as we like to say, its the kind of beer you want to have a beer with. Brewed by: Fire Island Beer Company, Ocean Beach, NY and Saratoga Springs, NY

A beer of the month club entry for OCT-NOV 2011. A fine utility brew, went well with a meal, pretty white head and amber body. Good beery presence that might not be outstanding, but would work if it were available in your local area

Another beer from the beer of the month club. So far they've been striking out. Weak amber with not much of a head to show. Aroma has some soft fruit, faint hops and a little corn. Taste has a mild malty backbone, with a light finish. Two thumbs down.

Pours golden orange, no head. Aroma is light and grassy. Mouthfeel is lightly hopped. Flavor is refreshing yet typical - nothing really stands out here.
