Inspired by the American Pale Ales emerging from the west coast. Pours a rich copper colour and offers a melon and citrus aroma with a bright hop flavour. The moderate malt character supports the delicate hops that highlight this style.

Tallboy from the Beer Store. Pours an average size frothy off-white head and has a pale golden appearance. Slightly excessive carbonation. Decent sticky lacing. Aromas of grassy and floral hops, light cereal malts and notes of citrus. Flavours are fruity and citrusy, subtle grass and herbs, some bready and cereal malts in the finish. Medium bodied. Some moderate bitterness on the palate. Fairly decent.

Pours a clean mid-amber colour with a big frothy light-beige head, good retention and lots of foamy lacing all-around. First aromas of cereal malts with bread notes. After a while, turns into caramel malts with more of a butterscotch nose. Kind of on the diacetyl side of things. The taste has the caramel malts, cereal darker grains with the light hops in the finish. The dryness grows as it lingers, but not too crazy. A decent American Pale Ale that is a little unbalanced, but does the job.
