This is an OK porter....slightly above average but nothing really special here. There's some roasty coffee and chocolate flavors, though the texture and balance could be a little better. Evolution just made it down here to FL. My first sample from them, so I'll give one of their other styles a try.

A deep black colored beer with a small, three fingered sudsy textured brown-tan head rising above. Seems the hang time on the head is limiting. A thin ringlet is left. Chocolate and some coffee in the nose. Ditto in the tasting. A caramel malt backbone sweetens this brew. There's a crisp effervescent.

Pours a thick dark inkish black color in to the pint out of the bottle, with little or no head to be found. The usual porter aromas and tastes of burnt malt, coffee, chocolate, and cocoa are most noticeable. Lucky 7 was thick and syrupy with a slight tinge of hop aftertaste. Not a bad porter, but not my favorite either. I would certainly drink one again.

Nice. Pours expected dark brown black with an OK head. Expected but restrained aroma and flavors of coffee and chocolate but reserved. Smooth mouthfeel. Liked it.
