May 2012: Sample on tap at Copenhagen Beer Celebration. Deep golden colour, head slightly off-white. Aroma of fruity hops / red fruits / blackcurrants, nice. Well balanced and pleasant flavour, distinctly hopped but not too much, sufficient malts. Would buy again.

Robust aroma is quite hoppy and has firm yeasty, fruity and woody tones. It pours a clear dark amber with a very thick, fluffy, and rather persistent wheat head. Well-rounded flavor has malty, hoppy, fruity and subtle yeasty and woody tones, quite satisfying. Mouthfeel, though, leaves a little to be desired, a bit thin and not too fizzy. Still, when the texture is the weakest point, that is hardly a drawback. Bark for this one!

Pours a crystal clear dark copper in color with moderate amounts of visible carbonation and some orange / amber highlights. Small foamy beige head that slowly reduces to a medium patch along with a thin film. The aroma has moderate amounts of caramel malts, fruity yeasts, and citrus / lemon rind hops, with much lighter notes of herbal hops. The taste is similar to the aroma, starts out with a moderate combination of pale and caramel malts with a light amount of sweetness. There are some light to moderate amounts of fruity yeast and moderate amounts of herbal and citrus / lemon rind hops. Light to moderate amounts of bitterness that fade rather quickly. The mouthfeel is on the lighter side of medium bodied with slightly more than moderate amounts of carbonation. Smooth.

A nice floral and fruity pale ale that is more similar to your average iPa in bitterness but is much more sessionable. Digging the finish and complexity in the lightweight package, but the price tag is prohibitive.
