2003 NABA Bronze Medal. An American classic... the McCarthy Red has it all. This medium bodied ale combines a caramel-like sweetness and a complex toastiness, with an abundance of hop character. The firm bitterness and fragrant hop aroma will keep you coming back for more.

Really enjoyed this one. Almost brown in color with a thick off-white head. I was prepared for a malty red until my first swig and the hops jumped out and surprised me! The aroma and flavor showcase the meld between the malt backbone and a hoppy bite (hoppy for a red, anyway). A pleasure to drink.
