Pint at their capitol hill location. Gold-orange pour with a quickly disappearing white head. Aroma of (not surprisingly) jasmine and citrusy hops, kind of potpourri like. For an IPA this was not very bitter at all--hops seem to disappear in the flavor. Although not as good as I hoped, the brewery completely redeemed itself with my next pint of their Trip X IPA.

Jasmine does not belong in beer, that is the takeaway from this rating. A typical West Coast IPA pour with plenty of haze in that golden-orange concoction. The jasmine hits your nose in a not so subtle way to let you know it's 'in the house' and after that, the pine and citrus feel left out. The flavour is quite mellow due to the nature of the jasmine. This was not an enjoyable beer.

It pours a dark-golden with thick white head and copious lacing. A light aroma of caramel malts, faint hops, and some spices. The mouthfeel is smooth and well-bodied. Flavors of caramel malts, light hops, lemon-citrus, tea leaves, and light spiciness. Decent brew!

From Brewery Creek. Poured a clear amber under a flaccid white head. Aroma = nothing there! Taste was far better, actually quite nice and better than this brewer's "Immortal". Nice hops for the tsate, decent mouth, and a sweet touch to finish.

Draft into a mug @ Wegman's, Malvern. Pours a hazy yellow/orange with a one-finger white head which dissapates to a coating. Some lacing, nothing special. Nose does have some jasmine but mostly sweet malt, flowery hops and lemon. Taste is not much like the IPA's I have had. No real hop profile and pretty sweet, with lemon, jasmine and some other herbs at the front. Not left with much that lingered from the last sip and no real bitterness at any point. Mouthfeel is nondescript light to medium with some carbonation. This wasn't an awful beer, just nothing I would go out of my way to get again.

The beer poured a cloudy golden orange colour with a bubbly snow white head (and as a Canadian - I've seen a LOT of snow). The aroma was jasmine, some perfumey hops, and cereal malt. The mouthfeel is weak to medium bodied with medium carbonation. The flavour is grainy malt, soap, and a weak hoppish hint followed by a weak bitter finish. A new brewer to add to my conquests, but this beer did not wow me! -

Pours clear gold with small, creamy head that lasts. Aroma is bold and flowery, jasmine playing a major role. The flavor is less exciting, kind of a subdued IPA except for the extreme flower power, which isn't as pleasant as in the nose. Light-to-medium bodied and smooth with gentle carbonation. Nice sample overall; Elysian also offers an imperial version.

cool beer...somewhere between a pale and an IPA, which prevents me from rating it a touch higher, but it was a little low on the hops, especially in the aroma, for an IPA. A little light in color as well. However, the beer is balanced wonderfully between the fruity hops and the jasmine. The flavor and finish is excellent, and very very smooth. Nice body. The aroma is quite pleasant, but not quite assertive enough. Delicate is a great word to describe this beer. Quite interesting and worth a shot, but falls short of greatness.

Holy cow....this is actually the beer of my dreams. I'm a big tea drinker and my favorite kind of tea is jasmine green tea. As a brewer, I had always mentioned how I wanted to incorporate jasmine flowers into a brew of mine. Looks like the folks at Elysian Brewing Company beat me to the punch.
Where do I start with this amazingly crafted beer? The beer has a dark amber, orangy hue to it and a rather small head, leaving behind minimal lacing on on the glass. The aroma is knock your socks off jasminy. One sniff and you are taken off to a field of jasmine flowers. It's a wonderfully soothing smell that is not overpowering in the floral department.
Flavor wise everything blends nicely. The hops are not too sharp, bitter or overdone and blend excellent with the jasmine flowers to produce an extremely smooth tasting, fresh brew that leaves a fresh and clean feeling on your palate.
This beer is exactly what I had in mind when I wanted to brew a nice ale with some jasmine flowers. I can't wait to take the ideas that I learned from drinking this beer and build upon that in my next batch. Very well done! -

This one poured an orange color. The aroma is jasmine, perfume, and some light citrus. The flavor contained some jasmine and oranges. The beer was alright but fairly bland and watery for an IPA. On to the next beer.
