I expected more than I got from this beer, and was a bit disappointed. Low head, clear golden colour, pleasant hoppy aroma. Strong alcohol presence. Bitter flavour, close to tart. Far from outstanding. I guess I'm a "Bocks are dark"-guy.

330ml green bottles that pours a clean golden-yellow colour with a nice creamy white head, good retention, leaving some creamy-foamy lacing. Not much skunk in the smell, but more sweet malts. Herbal hops come out eventually to balance things. The flavours show some decent grassy hops and the alcohol seems to warm things up. Fairly bitter and some nice dryness over the rich maltiness.

The beer pours a translucent medium gold colour with a generous white head which sticks around a couple of minutes before leaving some nice lacing in the glass. The aroma is light hints of alcohol, cereal grains, and noble hops. The mouthfeel is medium to full bodied, creamy, and has average carbonation. The flavour is alcohol, sweet grains, and an oily bitterness. If somebody handed me this in a glass and didn’t tell me what it was, I would think it is more of a malt liquor, or high ABV North American style lager. -

Clear pale yellow with small foam head. Aroma is dominated by malt. Taste is similar. Aftertaste is short. Not the best German beer I have drank.(Velp 201304)

Pours out in a crystal clear pale golden colour with a low firm white foam. Hoppy aroma of wet grass and white pepper with solid undertones of bready and biscuity malts. Medium-bodied with initaly sweet flavours of white bread, doudg and mild alcohol. Rather oily mouthfeel. Drier finish with notes of grassy, herbal and peppery hops with touches of alcohol.

Pale golden colour, small white head. Aroma is mainly hoppy. Flavour is hops, malts, xylitol and soap. Strong alcohol coming through in the flavour too, more like a malt liquor or European Strong Lager in my opinion.

clear golden colour, few head, malty, alcohol nose, sweetness is quickly followed by a strong bitterness, oily and heavy brew with a long dry alcohol finish - great exemple of the style
