Aroma is a nice mix of malts and hops...pine, lemon peel, rosemary, and apples with a nice bready overtone. The aroma lasts! This is an aromatic brew. Appearance is in the eye of the beholder I guess but this one looks lovely to me. Pours a medium deep copper-colored body that is slightly foggy and is just a bit more red than most copper-colored ales ...bronze I guess. Caps with a very foamy head that is nicely done and lasts a moderate amount of time. No constantly rising bubbles but a nice thin foam remains on the top and excellent lacing. Mouth is real nice, very soft and velvety, smooth and suprisingly a nice hint of thickness with a decent tingle. Like the nose promised there is a good amount of hops in this beer. It hits a bit nutty-malty,yeasty, a little rosemary astingency in the taste --- not a strong flavor but nicely done. Leads to a nice yet not terribly complex sweet sour thing and ends tart and dry. Reminisent of an IPA with less hops bitterness, this is a very drinkable ale. Alcohol is fully masked. I drank a LOT of English bitters in the pubs in 73 when I was 19, This is the first I have had since. For a beer that in most ways is modest I am suprised how high my rating is going to come out. This is just very well done!

Not only is it organic, but it is a charitable beer as well. Good for the Prince of Wales. Pours like a murky cider; I was expecting something much more translucent. Some light lacing on the glass. Quite a refreshing beer. Tastes almost like apples...bright red crisp apples. Lots of carbonation. Has that classic English-style fresh breath of hops that float and swim about, but are almost unnoticeable. Nothing outstanding.

Nice clear orangy amber brew, average white cap, pretty fine lacing. Nice solid sweet but excellend bready quality, slight cola, weak toffee, milk?? Top end spice, tarty sourness, quiet caramel, mild, drinkable. Medium light bodied, ok bitter finish, slight fruit aftertaste.

Nothing wrong with this beer at all, other than it lacked any real interesting character in aroma or flavor. Just kind of a bland ale, but refreshing. Aroma is light iced tea, a bit of sweetness and some wet paper. Appearance was a very nice clear amber body with a nice 2" off-white head. Head left behind some decent lacing clings. Flavor had a bit of earthyness to it, light caramel and light spice notes. Went down very easy. Very nice mouthfeel.

BB 31 jan 09. Poured a nice red/copper with a creamy off white head that laced well. Good clean flavour with a bitter finish. Smooth mouthfeel with medium carbonation.

Yeah!!!!!!!! Another beer to drink but this one special it claims on the back of the bottle “Suitable for vegetarians” I can finally drink a beer now without risk of getting a giant hunk of pork in it. Beer appears to be hazy honey brown with a very tall very thick very long lasting cap on top, the lacing is stupidly thick. Strong aroma I can smell it from across the table, this aroma seems wrong; arm pit, wood, mild toffee, touch of skunky hops. The taste is at least sweet and malty with a bitter finish. Some notable hops, pepper, mild coffee, touch of a metallic finish. Brew goes down smooth and is medium bodied. Good beer nothing special would never purchase again unless I found it on tap maybe.

This was created by/for Bonnie Prince Charlie? He could have done better. A orange-brown beer with a nice aroma of floral hops with some grassy malts in back. Sadly, all those floral hops disappear before they hit my tatse buds because I didn't find the beer to be all that bitter in the end. Still, decent, but not great.

Started well, as I was impressed with the classy label as well as with the clear and sparkling copper body underneath a frothy, off-white head. Then things took an unfortunate downturn, beginning with what I can only describe as an "odd" nose, I just cannot place what this smelled like. Then it got worse. Mouthfeel was rather sharp and the taste was quite sour, with a finish that was no better. Perhaps this was just a rogue bottle, as I've not had any similar experience with a Wychwood. Be that as it may, I found this to be a rather unpleasant beer. Sorry.

Burnt orange decent long lasting head, fruity aroma along nice lacing, this is full body beer with lots of hopps resulting in some dry notes.the malt base is deep enough to support the tanginess of the hopps...A fine balance beer with some edgy notes of bitterness characterisc of a great english ale.

A dark orange to copper color. A slightly musty aroma with some brown sugar, molasses, caramel and some light citrus. The flavor is somewhat sour with a hint of sweetness. Some lemons, caramel, and toffee. Only a hint of bitterness in the finish. This one might have some unwanted age on it but overall a decent session ale.
