A Northwest-style pale ale that presents with the aromas of light citrus and hops blending with a soft & mild malt body and an exceptionally clean & crisp finish. Refreshing from start to finish! Dry and restrained malt character allows the hops to shine through in this quintessential example of a beer style our region is famous for. Food Pairings •Salads with plenty of bitter greens (arugula, watercress, mustard greens) •Grassy cheeses like Bleu d’Auvergne, Reblochon and Gruyere. •Seafood such as prawns, crab, halibut or cod.

Super carbonated. Thats the negative part. Otherwise this is a very interesting pale ale. Instead of being american and over hopping in any way, it more british styled and balanced. Instead of being "green", or citrus forward, or pine forward, or regular, this beer does a good job of incorporating a nice yeast character: makes a really good session brew. All around nice, a nice individual interpretation of the style, but in the end, its mostly uninteresting and great to slam if it wasnt for the carbonation. Still a hop beer with a yeast element that is not well balanced with a strong malt character. Better than some but perhaps not well suited to my winter taste buds.

Poured out a big, thick white cap that hang around for ages on top of my gold brew leaving sloppy lacing. The aroma is nice and fresh and fruity but it has taken awhile for this to come around. Weak grapefruit, fake orange, rich malts, perfume, some floral and a bit of grain can be found on deep breaths - a little different which is nice. The taste is really nice to start with but I got bored in the middle of the bottle then started to pound it because it went down so easy. Nothing in your face: rich malts at a small dose keep then in check, leafy hops, light fruit with no flavour standing out, bit of spice and zip. Wow... didn't really say anything there, did I? The carbonation is too much for me to really dig this brew. Goes down light and quick, tangy finish with a stiff but short lived bitterness. A decent drinking beer for sure; a nice Canadian craft selection.

On a recent trip to Vancouver, I was able to try these from a friend's fridge. He's not on beerpal, so he may not know they're gone yet. This was a nice golden ale with a good hit of florality on the nose and sweet malt. It was refreshing and easy drinking with a hint of sweetness followed by a bitter end.

A nice looking beer,at least, with a frothy wheat head of average thickness above a body of clear amber. Aroma was "different", perhaps the so-called "cotton candy malt notes"? Whatever, I was not enchanted by the nose. Taste was a decent blend of hop and malt. Mouth was alright, and there was a bitterness at the finish. A drinkable but very average beer.
