Beacon Ale is our tribute to the folks here in Beacon Hill; the same people who’ve given us so much support since we opened our doors in August 2014. Brewed with 100% Ontario-grown Galena hops, this snappy, refreshing beer is loaded with blood orange, papaya and floral hop aroma contributed by our province’s unique growing conditions. Named for a now dilapidated 150 year-old lighthouse whose rusty steel platform still stands today a mere 750 metres north of the brewery in the middle of the Ottawa River. Let this be the beer that guides you home to the friendly shores of Beacon Hill.

Enjoyed at Crust & Crate Lansdowne. Pours a hazy light golden-yellow colour with a white cap and good lacing. Beautiful citrus aromas with some fresh grassy notes. The hops are milder in the taste, with the grain showing in the finish and hints of minty grass. A nicely balanced pale ale that is quite nice and refreshing for the style. I quite liked this one.
