There might have been a slight infection starting in this beer because it smelled a bit sour/off. It tasted like it may have been a little off as well. Pours the color of Iced tea, but perhaps a little more orange. Nice maltiness to the taste and a little more hoppy-bitter than some bocks I've had. Overall good beer. I'll have to come back and rate it when I'm not suffering from severe allergies.

Bottle. Brought this bottle back from GA and it was worth the trip. Rich amber color with a medium head that dissolved into just a thin sheet of light bubbles. The aroma is malt, smoke and yeasty. The first thing I get from the taste is a light hop bite then a full malt taste that blankets the tongue. I’ve noticed Dogwood uses malts very nicely, subtle and not too rich. I usually don’t use "chewey" to describe a liquid but this description fits here. Caramel taste as the beer came up in temp.

Reddish color with little head. Flavor was malty similar to blueberries. Fairly thin palate. Nothing impressive but nothing bad either. This brewery does better than this.
