Aroma: 7 | Appearance: 8 | Mouthfeel: 8 | Flavor: 8 | Overall: 7
Poured up on tap at Dove Mountain restaurant where it exhibits a near clear copper brown body that supports a nice tan head. The aroma offers up malts, some sweet malts, a hit of dark fruity esters, strawberry and then a thin sense of rauch pork smokiness at the end of the draw. The taste delivers full flavor for an Alt beer with malts that increase in sweetness as some hop bitterness grows. To midway it picks up a modest malt roastiness blended thinly by a sense of earthy soft pork smokiness. I like the way this comes together. Easy drinking and full flavored
