Had as Reinaert Wild Ale. Strong aroma is fruity and yeasty, mainly apple with a hint of banana; I got a whiff of caramel as well. Pours a clear, bubbly amber with a thick and fluffy, if not too persistent, ivory head. Fruity flavor has yeasty, malty and subtle hoppy notes, a little sweet, a little bitter, quite drinkable. Smooth, lively texture has plenty of body and fizz. An ale by any other name would taste just as good!

Surly Bird: pretty weird beer. Not wild.sour in the traditional sense, but there's all kinds off odd fruity flavors and aromas, some tart, some floral, some sweet. Definitely unique enough to make me want to try other versions of this stuff.

Rating from 2003.Medium gold color, cloudy. Large foamy head. Aroma is tart and sour with a hint of orange peel. A medium bodied Ale. It not very sour for a Flemish sour ale. Yeasts are fairly bright, yet the malts aren't very sweet and fruity as I was expecting. OK, so it neither sweet enough nor sour enough. Yet, it an interesting beer. It does balance what sweet and sour characteristics are available. And the "wild yeast flavors are interesting. It also a very refreshing beer. Hides the 9.0% alcohol very well. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and dry. Aftertaste is slightly bitter.

The beer with the comic book label. A golden orange pour, cloudy, with an off-white head. Almost looks like an IPA. Aroma is sweet malt, yeast, and spices. The flavour is sweet malt, spices, and a hint of alcohol. An enjoyable brew, but wouldn't be a mainstay

Despite its sad headlessness, the beer still looks good, a swamp of yellow-gold murk glowing in the light. Particulate matter is suspended throughout giving a bit more meaning to the term "wild ale." The smell is quite striking and took some getting used to on my part. There are some typical Belgian notes, but its infused with a woodsy must that seems to be the hallmark of this beer. The beer could use a bit more carbonation for a nicer feel. The dryness makes for an easily drinkable beer but not significantly more or less than any good Belgian, which is in no way a slight.

Reinnart Wild: pours a sadist gold, foam everywhere .. funk, used mattress, and horseblanket .. . mild yet strangely pleasing- give it a go .. i liked it quite a bit ... . Oh, yeah. That's from when I sold my kidney. I figured with all the advancements in modern science, I'd better sell it while someone still wanted to buy it. Smartest thing I ever did, Clark.

Bottle courtesy of Boboski: Poured a clear golden color ale with a big foamy head with great retention and lacing. Aroma of barnyard and funk is dominating and enjoyable but maybe a bit strange. Taste is way too strong on the barnyard with what I can only describe as cat litter (not that I have ever tasted it but you get the idea). I usually am a big fan of sour, tart and funky beer but this goes to a level that I am either not ready for or maybe the brewer screw-up something. I finally had to drain pour this one.

Pours a clear gold except for the last glass. Excellent, rocky white head. There’s a bit of the farmyard funk, but almost none of the sourness I expected. It’s got a significant hop bite in the back that I definitely wasn’t expecting and it’s quite dry. Interesting beer.

Pig Nun - Poured a hazy golden color, much like a wheat type base. The aroma was of floral and candy cherries. The flavor was comparable, some tart and funkiness in there, with candy apples and cherries, and an odd floral aspect. A peppery finish emerged as it warmed. The mouthfeel was of basic carbonation and a funky sweetness in the finish.

Demon Fish? (Some creature with a dude wearing black lying on top with hands folded and praying) - Poured a hazy golden color, nice initial head, good lacing. The aroma was funky, light cherries, wheaty, horseblankets. The flavor had some fruity notes, cherries, grapes, some floral notes, was a little tart, a little bitter, finishing somewhat bready, hoppy, and dry.
