12oz can thanks to Gene for bringing this on his trip to the mountain brewers fest
Slightly hazy amber with a big off-white head and lots of lacing
Aroma: Citrus and dusty caramel
Taste: Grapefruit, caramel, with a mild bitterness in the finish
A nice mellow pale, easy drinking.Aroma: 6 | Appearance: 6 | Mouthfeel: 7 | Flavor: 7 | Overall: 7
Clear dark orange, off-white lacing foam head. Strong bitter hop aroma, small floral notes. Likewise bitter taste, again small floral tones, some bread. Lasting aftertaste. (Velp 201411)

Thanks to pfoxyjohn for acquiring this beer for me. I've now had a brew from all 50 states and DC! Pours from the can into the glass a dull copper colour. Head is decent, nice hop aroma, some pine notes accenting. Taste is clean, malt forward, soft bitter finish rounds off this beer nicely. THanks John!

Cloudy, orangey copper with a dense head that lingers and leaves a good bit of lace. Caramel and orange aroma with a bit of citrus oil, even mango. Bitter citrus oil flavor up front, maybe a trace of soap and something herbal, but balances and mellows into something more stable and almost earthy without sweetening. Smooth, lightly carbonated.

Pours a rich-looking, opaque copper with tight, creamy head. Beautiful lacing trails the beer. Citrus and grass dominate the aroma while pine lends a sharp topnote. The flavor is bright, clean, easy, enjoyable. Aggressively bittered. Light bodied, but not at all watery, and well carbonated. This would probably be a staple for me if it were an Oklahoma offering. Thanks to Foamdome for picking this one out for me the first time and thanks to mwiscount for facilitating the revisit.

Legit DC beer in a can! From the FoamDome man himself. Beautiful clear amber pour with a tight cream head and some delicate lacing. Big pine earthy hops aroma with a good caramel malt presence. Taste is just bitter enough - pine, slight grapefruit, earthy - then a nice offset from the sweetness of the malts. This is a tasty and quality pale ale; worthy to be called The Public, from an upstart DC brewery. Huge thanks to Dave for hooking me up with a DC-marked-off-the-map brew... and it was damn good.
