No mere beverage could satisfy the thirst of the courageous and gallant soldiers who stood guard over the colonies of the British Empire. Their thirst could only be quenched by a full-bodied hearty Ale; an Ale balanced with rich flavorful hops. We are proud to offer our interpretation of this English style India Pale Ale for those who loong for the time when once your duty was complete, the taste of a fine Ale was reward enough for a job well done.

Pours clear amber with a thick, fluffy, and rather persistent pale buff head. Crisp aroma is very hoppy and resiny; subtle malty and citrus notes provide support. Flavor is quite hoppy yet not at all bitter; malty and grapefruit notes peek through. Texture is fairly smooth and fizzy, average but pleasant. Maybe not exactly "hopnotic," but enjoyable.

KSBF07. Ugh Poured a light orangey color. Aroma was pine citrus hops, flavor was much the same, with some tree bark almost in there. Overall kinda a bland IPA ho hum

KSBF07. Light orangey-amber color with a white-ish head. The aroma was woody w/ some pine and citrus hopping. The flavor followed suit, woodsy notes, pine and citrus, light caramel malts, but this thing was a bit underhopped for an IPA. Mouthfeel was medium bodied, moderate carbonation. A weak IPA, ok PA, but even in the case of a PA, nothing to write home about.

09.26.04 12oz bottle. Pours a brilliant golden yellow; big, sudsy white head; coating lace. Aromas (somewhat unexpectedly) of English hops, fuggles, grassy as all getout. Mineral and with an unpleasant earthy sweetness, cloying. This beer reminds me of a crappy macro pils moreso than an even mediocre IPA.

NJ Brewers Fest. Clear gold color with nice floral hop aroma with a bit of malt. Hop bitterness blankets the tongue immediatly making me like it right away. Malty smoothness is next to the party making this not only refreshing but making me want more. Very nicely done.

Poured a hazy golden orange color, with a small, white, sticky head that left nice lacing. Dried grass, lemon, funky hop aroma. Taste too is very funky. No bitterness, bland sweetness and earth, with light citrus. Very weak IPA.
