Bourbon Chipotle Porter Craggie’s porter is brewed with chipotle peppers, fermented with a Belgian yeast strain, and aged on bourbon oak chips. This bold brew has hints of smoke and spice in the nose, followed by a robust body and smooth bourbon finish.

Got a growler at the grocery in Cashiers, NC. Pours the color of coffee, cafe Americano, with no head. Aroma is sweet caramel with a hint of smoke, very pleasant. Tastes of toasty bread with a bit of smoke and chocolate. Easy & quite tasty, not at all heavy or extreme. Wet with miniscule bubbles. If there is chipotle, it comes across as smoke, not spice-- extremely mild. Lovely to drink frequently or introduce friends to porter.

Brown pour with a slight tan head and spotty lacing. Roasted chilies, malts, very light bourbon, slight coffee. Taste is a hodgepodge: spicy chilies, sweet caramel malts, some coffee, hint of bourbon. Good. Different. Not for the faint of heart.

Experimental is the key here.....This poured a dark amber with little head. The aroma was burbon, jalapenos, and caramel. The flavor was the same. This is no session beer but I enjoyed my pint!
