Just as the iconic Coronado Bay Bridge connects our island home to the mainland, this java-tinged dry stout, brewed using dark roasted coffee beans from a local San Diego artisanal roaster, provides a bridge uniting craft beer drinkers with CBC’s rich, flavorful SoCal brewing traditions.

Pours out a heavy dark brown color with no head. The aroma is roasted malt and coffee. The mouthfeel is Really thin for being so dark. The taste is just watery coffee. It's not bad just not reall special.

22 oz bottle. Pours dark brown with a medium creamy tan head that goes to a thin film and leaves a little lacing.

The aroma is fudgy chocolate malts with a lot of nice roast coffee.

The flavor is sweet chocolate malts some some slightly acidic roast coffee. The mouthfeel is medium bodied and fairly watery.

    Overall, a decent coffee stout.

Nice deep black in color with a big frothy textured tan head rising above. There's some hang time on the head. It settles into a medium sized ringlet and light cap. The profile is coffee, lightly brewed. Some roastiness. Light bodied, crisp.

    22oz bottle -

A really nice stout with a good showing of coffee in both the flavor and aroma. Nothing over-powering, nothing unbalanced. Mouthfeel was nice and the acidic nature of the coffee did help with the sweetness of the malts in a unique way. Solid roasty character and surprised to see the low ABV on this. Nice beer all the way around.

I found this enjoyable, but kind of on the weak side as far as flavor. On the lower range of ABV% and probably lacking a bit on the malts. Decent coffee flavor...could use some more chocolate though with a better hop balance. Feels more like a porter. Not something I would really get again, especially for the price.
