Dark and luxurious like a midnight dip in the warm gulf waters off St. Pete Beach. Rich and Roasty with a hint of chocolate. Both this porter, and a night swim, are best enjoyed with a friend.

    Aroma: 8 | Appearance: 8 | Mouthfeel: 6 | Flavor: 8 | Overall: 8

Pours rich coffee sable with a thick but effervescent tan head. Aroma delivers roast malt, coffee, molasses, and subtle semi-sweet chocolate notes. Flavor features tasty roast malt, quality coffee, molasses and chocolate for a scrumptious porter. Mouthfeel offers firm body, but fizz is lacking. Swim with the mermaids - or your friends.

Deep ebony colored beer with a thick creamy textured tan head rising above. Good hang time on the head with thick fluffs left behind. Bitter-roasted chocolate in the total profile. Light bodied.

This is a good representation and about average of the style. Not much stands out, yet growing on me with each sample. Some dark bitter chocolate and roasty malt flavors. Decent balance. Flavor and overall could go either way between 7-8.
