Rated in Oct. 2012. Poured up on tap at Star Bar in Denver with a clear deep copper to amber body supporting a light tan head of foam. The aroma offers up some sweet malts, a touch of sweet dark fruity esters and then sweet malt infused mango fruitiness. The taste begins with malt sweetened mango and then it grows into rich chili meat flavor as well as a nice bit of chili heat. The degree of heat is elevated into the finish and warms the tongue and lips. This has great balance between beer notes and a fun level of chili heat that lets you know it’s there. Good stuff.
