The CHOUFFE BOK 6666 is a seasonal beer especially brewed for the Netherlands. Bok beers traditionally appear on the Dutch market at the end of September. The CHOUFFE BOK 6666 stands out from others due to a copper colour, a fresh and fruity scent and a pleasant full-bodied feeling in the mouth, which ends in an aftertaste with a hint of bitterness. # Packaging : 20 litre kegs # Alcohol : 6% alc./vol. # Original extract : 14 °Plato # Serving temperature : 4 to 10°C (bottle)

Nice darker brown color, sparkling beer. Refreshing taste with hops clearly present, some fruits far away. Good seasonal beer, but I understand its available all year. One of the better dark beers.

Belgium and bocks don't go together. This beer cements those feelings. A dark copper-brownish pour with a 1" head. Aroma is mainly dark malts with a hint of anise. Flavour is slightly sweet and dry, very malty.

750ml bottle. Poured with a huge and long lasting frothy, light brown head. the body is a very dark mohogany that is too cloudy to see through. The aroma that I initially noticed was fresh grapes. It also has notes of butter, peaches and herbs. The rich mouthfeel is absolutely exploding with fruity tastes. It has some apple, raisin and even some carrots. The taste also has spices like ginger, thyme and other herbs. This is a very unique beer that makes me enjoy the fall theme. It is a little too sweet and thin in it’s mouthfeel. For a bock it is fruity and less malty than I would have expected. Otherwise this is a very friendly drink that I would not hesitate to suggest to anyone looking for something different. Also, you should read the entertaining story on the back of the bottle.

A sour malty aroma underlined by hops leads you into the strong malt flavor with a slightly hoppy finish.

Had this on tap at Monk's cafe. Nice malty aroma, medium bodied, but not to sweet. Pretty good.

Very enjoyable beer, but nothing too special. Good, spicy finish with fruity body. Nice strong beer that I enjoyed quite well, but did not rave over. I like the Chouffe products, but they do not leave me speechless. Still far from Chimay Grande Reserve (for a good dark Belgian).
