American Pale Ale is not only the standard but the foundry for what has inspired the craft beer movement. Here at Charleville we wanted to celebrate the beer style that stands as the corner stone for what has made American craft brewing so great. Our Explicit APA is brewed with five additions of hops prior to the wort passing through the Hopback on its way to fermentation. To complete this full bodied ale dry hops are added during cold maturation to create a hop forward ale, with a transcendental copper hue.

Great label. And another beer from PfoxyJohn... Light copper amber pour, tight white head and cap, nice lacing. Potpourri of hops in the nose and palate: floral, honeysuckle, blood orange, grapefruit, a bit of pine, then a pleasant amount of malt sweetness to calm all of those hops. Very nice bitter linger. Drinks and tastes like a nice IPA, labeled as an APA. Again, fantastic label, great flavor profiles, very tasty. Thank you John!

I think Dre said it best "Explicit, west coast whit, hella photogenic!" I couldn't believe this was only an APA, holly enough to kill all Midwest IPAs, maybe missing a bit on aroma but with a body you could drink all day. Thanks John! When r u going back for more?!
