Beer and bacon in a glass, with coffee and dark chocolate as part of the mix. While this beer isn’t an outstanding in your face beer, I can’t find anything to fault it either. One of the best things about this beer for me is the subtleness of the smokiness, too many brewers give you an onslaught that turns me off. Not here, the smoked wood bacon flavour marries well with the roasted malt and coffee notes providing a nice flavour balance for me.

Visited the brewpub in Toronto for the first time. This one came with barely any head, has a dark amber colour. Weak lacing. Medium Carbonation. Aromas of malts and notes of caramel. Has a smokey flavour and aftertaste as well. There's a slight alcohol smell. Bitter mouthfeel. Some whisky notes coming through, not as offensive as the St. Peter's one though.

This was the first smoked beer I ever tried, not my favourite of the style. Colour - clear reddish-brown, reminiscent of an Abbey Ale, creamy off-white head. Aroma - wood smoke, caramel, hops . Mouthfeel - medium bodied. Flavour - roasted nuts, smoked wood, and charcoal. Overall - decent.

The beer poured a translucent dark reddish-brown with a thin tad head, and absolutely no lacing. The aroma was sweet malt, some smoke, and some nutty hints. The aroma was medium bodied with medium carbonation. The flavour was roasted malt, coffee, smoked wood, and a slightly sweet finish.
