Nov. 2014: Shared bottle at local tasting. ABV is 4.6%. Golden colour, low white head. .Dusty, grainy and slightly sweetish unappealing aroma. Bland flavour, dusty notes, minimal bitterness, extremely boring.

Pours clear gold with minute long bright white head. The aroma has notes of over sweet malts mixing with a bit of floral and earthy hops. The taste has a carbonation enhanced bite of bitter hops and a touch of acidity. About midway earthiness makes some noise for a moment our two. Behind the initial burst are mild notes of sweet and grainy malts. It smells like a beer that will quickly end up too sweet but it really never does.

Clear darker yellow with no foam head present. Aroma is that of cheap mass produced pale ale, and so is taste. Can imagine this tastes great when laying on a white sandy beach though. But helas, I am in Houston. (Houston 201310)

Pours a clear golden color with a thin white head that dissipates quickly which has some nice, creamy lacing. The aroma is sweet, skunky, and slightly corny. The taste is pale malts, very corny and bready, with a little skunk. It has a nice bitterness to it. The mouthfeel is medium body with mild carbonation. The carbonation gives it somewhat of a creamy texture. Overall I like this beer a lot. It's very crisp. Perfect for a hot day on the beach or with some good hot spicy Mexican food.

A sturdy Lager, not bad, not great. I can see it being a favorite local beer for the indigenous peoples of Costa Rica, and rightly so. Just another lager that does its job.

Canned beer. Poured a clear pale gold colored beer with a two fingers white creamy foamy head that had a good retention. Active carbonation. Good lacing. The aroma is light grainy malts, straw, hay, barnyard. The flavour is very mild; may be a sweety water with a slight bitterness touch. This light bodied beer has a short dry finish. Surely a quenching beer but certainly not a tasting beer.

Sampled in Costa Rica! Clear gold with a moderate white head with a little retention. Flavors are light with some sweetness consisting of wheat, grains and light fruit. Very mild bitterness. Not a lot there but no skunk or foul flavors either. Very clean and actually rather refreshing. I’m sure getting it fresh from near the source makes a difference.

An average latin american brew. A clear yellow body, not much carbonation with a thin fizzy head. Aroma and flavors of sweet malt, grass, and a slight bitterness, sticky mouthfeel. Overall you can judge this 'book' by its cover.
