How is it taken me this long to rate this???? Fuck YA on tap at the underground. Mild haze in the honey brown body with a pillowy cap floating on top. Hops upfrount in the nose with a lingering soap. Beer is to cold. Taste has a pefect bitter, stays highly drinkable no matter how much you have. Citrus, spice, mild leather, sweetness lingers. Beer does not have a single fault. I think I like the canned version better.

Wow settle down. Pour produces a huge head. Must be the girl on the bike. Excellent lacing. Wet pine aroma. Grapefruit, pine flavour with a bitter hop finish. But still well balanced. Very good.

I'm not a fan of IPA's I admit. They can be to aggressively hoppy for my liking and come across like drinking a liquid Christmas tree or gin, but this one was a better one. I even denoted a hint of caramel in the taste. I suggest you drink strictly out of a glass and avoid drinking one as a sessioner(out of the can) as the pour really opens it up. I've never sampled a beer that had that much disparity between drinking it straight out of the recepticle it came in, and drinking it out of the glass(straight out of the can ratings- Aroma: 10; App- N/A; Mouth: 4; Taste: 2; Overall: 2). The only negative aspect I found was the beer left a bit of heavy feeling on the roof of your mouth.

Woah! Right out of the gate, this aroma is strong, and for me, that's saying a bunch! Positive though. Too many citrus type flavours emanating from this one, could go on... Great taste though. fairly carbonated with next to no lacing. Ok, oranges are starting to dominate. Very good stuff. But watch out...6.5%, but doesn't seem it.

Purchased a single can of this at the LCBO. Not your average looking beer can design. Pours a clean amber colour with a frothy off-white head that has decent retention and lots of foamy lace. Fresh pine aromas with some sweetness, like oranges and caramel. Medium-bodied with some nice balance between a wet mouthfeel and some dry bitterness by the hop. Grapefruit taste with some light burnt wood, orange rind and pine needles. Don't judge this brew by what the can looks like. This is a serious IPA that is not a hop bomb, but pretty close and is very well-balanced.

I tried this beer on October 21, 2011 at "Bar Volo" in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The beer poured a translucent red with a generous rocky tan coloured cap. The aroma was pine, grapefruit and caramel.....certainly on the hoppy end of the spectrum. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with medium carbonation. The flavour is well balanced between the sweet malt tones and grapefruit hop tones. Very drinkable. -

Finally made it to the Central City Brewbub in Surrey, BC. Sampled the Raspberry Wheat, but let's be serious, I came here for an IPA. Probably the best canned beer I've ever had, but this review was written about a draft pint. Maybe it's the special bar lighting, but the glass of beer seemed to glow a little. 1st sip: Holy mother of God, that is fantastic! 2nd sip: there are neurons firing in my brain I didn't even know I had. Gorgeous dark amber colour, superior hop aromas and flavours... there's pine-citrus, pine and earth, and piney caramel. And yet really smooth. few beers I've ever had are this hoppy and this equally matched to the malt. Not much lacing, who cares! One of the lovliest colour pints of my life. And the aroma, oh baby! Guess that's what happens when you dry-hop for three weeks.

Finally managed to snag a couple of cans of this lovely hop juice – 355ml can – pours an orangey- amber ale in the glass with a billowy off white cap – good lacing. Aroma is intense and exotic; pungent orange, grapefruit and mango aromas, light toffee tones. Medium bodied with chewy caramel malts in from balance off perfectly with a fantastic hop mix – slowly dries and goes a tad bitter in the finish with a resinous hop bite right at the end. A great west coast IPA – I’ll have to prime my source to get a case for sipping on all winter when I need the bright tropical sunny taste of this great west coast ale.

My new 'go to' beer. Easily the best beer I've ever had out of a can. Pours a clear orange under an average white head. Lots of hops in the aroma, along with pine notes and a citrus hint. The flavour is quite the same, very nice to drink along with a solid mouth and balanced finish.
