330 ml clear bottle, from Voldby Købmandsgård, Denmark. ABV is 4.2%. Pale golden colour, minimal head. Aroma of green chilies and green peppers / other uncooked vegetables, not very inviting. The flavour has a solid chili burn from start to finish, no sign of anything else (like malts and hops). Really hot chili burn in the aftertaste. Oh dear. Glad I did not finish a whole bottle of this.

This is a horrendous beer. The addition of chilis to a pale lager does nothing to enhance the lager. The chili dominates the aroma and taste, but it is still a bland beverage. Had they used a hotter chili, maybe it would be worth a second try.

Chili spices up an otherwise ordinary lager. chili aroma, lots of chili flavor and then a chili kick. great heat balance. quite a decent beer! nice change. water doesn't even cool the pipes.

I'll admit....was sold on the chili pepper in the bottle. Actually wasn't as bad as I thought it would be after reading some of the reviews. Had it over a year ago, but forgot to review then. No stomach ache or nothing. Pretty much a spicey pale lager, but did not find it overwhelming. Slightly hopped at the end. The best part I think was nibbling on the pepper at the end.

Glad to see I'm not the only sadist on this site. I knew full well what I was getting into when I bought this but thought it would be fun to share the pain with friends and family. Besides the shriveled up pepper in the bottle, this looks just like any other macro lager. How things change when you get the beer closer to your nose. Spicy pepper overwhelms everything else. Even splitting this into 2oz samples was too much for most of us. Truly awful! Use a better base beer and dial back the heat a bit and it might not be so miserable.

Pours a clear pale golden color with a thin head on the pour disappears about as soon as it hits the glass. The aroma Wow! Wow! lots of pepper, and I mean a lot of pepper with some bread and corn. The taste is very watery with a ton of sweet boiled corn flavor. Heat hits about midway an takes over anything else in the way of flavor. Very thin mouthfeel. Really, really not good!!!

This is totally self inflicted pain, I read all the reviews and tried it anyway, I must be a sadist. Smell is like a good chili, but this isn't a chilly contest is it? It tastes like a hot chili with maybe just a tiny bit of malt in there but not enough to make this taste at all like beer. I do have a chili recipe that calls for beer, perhaps this isn't a total waste...

This beer is unique to say the least, the pepper is completely overwhelming. I figured there would be a taste of pepper, hence the nature of the beer, but it is too much. I gave the flavor a 5 simply because it is something that I have never tasted but it really has turned me off of pepper beers. There is little to no head, even for a mexican beer. The aroma is also overwhelmed by pepper. Overall, not the worst beer I have had but definitely not the most pleasant experience.

I have steered away from these ‘chili beers’. Hot is not what I think of when dreaming of beer. But what the heck, I gave one a try. Wow. The chilis dominate in the aroma and even more so in the taste. Certainly different, not sure I’d sit down with a six pack of this style. The clear golden beer has a thick foamy white head sitting atop for a fair amount of time. Slowly settles into a thicj cap, and finally a pencil thin ringlet.

Split this beer with some friends. We bought it because it looked really cool in the bottle. The aroma was quite nice a very strong pepper smell with some good Mexican beer notes (Tecate or Corona). The pour was golden with no head. The taste was terible. It was like drinking pickled jalepeño juice. I also bit into the pepper in the bottle and it was terrible. Not a good beer.
